Jeff Henriksen is a career marketing and communications executive and serves SMACNA in this role as the Executive Director of Communications and Marketing. Henriksen joined SMACNA in January 2018 to help the association achieve several critical goals in its newly created strategic plan. Among them was to build SMACNA’s communications and marketing infrastructure, enhancing services and improving content and engagement throughout the organization and industry.
Henriksen has led several successful marketing and communications departments for both public companies and non-profits. His entrepreneurial approach to marketing and communications comes from taking an Internet startup from its first customer through a public offering, 14 acquisitions and launching service in 20 countries, which all resulted in a $1 billion market capitalization.
On the non-profit side, Jeff led the marketing at British Standards Institution (BSI) for North and South America; managed the marketing for the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts; and most recently, led marketing and communications at American Pharmacists Association in a role as a turnaround specialist.
Henriksen started his career in advertising, working for Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising Agency in New York City. He attended the University of Virginia and has a BA in Rhetoric & Communications.
