SMACNA Staff and Executive Committee

Aaron Hilger, CEO

Aaron Hilger is SMACNA’s Chief Executive Officer. He assumed the role in January, 2022 after a long career leading the Builders Exchange of Rochester as their President & CEO.  At Builders Exchange he managed 13 local and state wide trade associations, including the Construction Industry Association of Rochester, Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association (SMACNA) Rochester, the Roofers Industry Fund and New York State SMACNA.

Jeff Henriksen

Jeff Henriksen is a career marketing and communications executive and serves SMACNA in this role as the Executive Director of Communications and Marketing. Henriksen joined SMACNA in January 2018 to help the association achieve several critical goals in its newly created strategic plan.  Among them was to build SMACNA’s communications and marketing infrastructure, enhancing services and improving content and engagement throughout the organization and industry.

Eli P. Howard, III

Eli P. Howard, III is the Executive Director of Technical Services & Research SMACNA. Howard has been with SMACNA for 25 years responsible for all SMACNA Technical Standards, Manuals & Guidelines for the HVAC, Industrial, Residential and Architectural industry.

Stanley E. Kolbe, Jr

Stanley E. Kolbe, Jr. is Executive Director of Government and Political Affairs for SMACNA. Kolbe has been a construction industry Washington representative for 3 decades, working on industry issues representing SMACNA and prior to that, the American Institute of Architects. Earlier in his career, Kolbe worked for the US Conference of Mayors and the United States Senate Small Business Committee.

Mark Terzigni

Mark Terzigni is Executive Director of Market Sectors and Construction Technology. He started his career at SMACNA in 2008 as a Project Manager in the Technical Services Department. Early projects included SMACNA’s Seismic Restraint and Duct Leakage Testing Standards, as well as several apps such as The HVAC duct Construction App and the Leakage Testing Calculator.

Jason Watson

Jason Watson is the Executive Director of Labor Relations for the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association (SMACNA).  Mr. Watson has more than two decades of experience working with labor unions.
