R.F. Knox Company, Inc. is a fourth-generation straight-line sheet metal business based in Atlanta, Georgia. SMACNA met with Jack Knox, president, and his team about the company’s commercial HVAC work, which makes up 85% of its business.
The company has placed a high priority on keeping its equipment and technology up to date. “We have to make sure we’re giving our employees what they need to get the job done,” says Jack Knox. The company recently purchased a Trumpf laser machine for its architectural department.
Knox has worked on quite a few high-profile projects, including the Mercedes Benz Stadium. However, it’s the company’s data center work that has become a huge part of the company’s busines over the last ten years. With technology always changing, “we think that business sector is going to be around for a while.”
